Luke's warm on Macka

Dynamo Moscow defender Luke Wilkshire has warned his club-mates of the threat of his fellow Socceroo, Scott McDonald, ahead of the their UEFA Champions League qualifier against Celtic in midweek.

Dynamo will travel to Glasgow for the first leg of the third-round clash, with the winner entering into a play-off for a spot in the lucrative group stages of the competition.

Wilkshire, who has enjoyed a successful start to his career in Russia since joining the club last year, is all too familiar with the threat posed by McDonald.

"I get on really well with Scott and I'm sure he'll fancy his chances of scoring against us,” Wilkshire told The Daily Record.

"He is a natural goalscorer and has scored against Milan and [Manchester] United when both were European champions, so that tells you about his quality.

“We will just need to make sure we are prepared for him."

Indeed, McDonald has a history of performing in Celtic’s biggest clashes during his two seasons at Parkhead, proving himself particularly adept on the continental stage.
